What is the difference between wotlk and cataclysm

The only thing we really know for sure is that Cataclysm is 6 years after the end of Warcraft 3. Post by atkrei Im thinking a few hours or a few days past between the very last second you logged off i like to think so and logged back on to see everything different, and this is assuming that all that construction work in orgrimmar or stormwind was already in progress.

This I didn't know. Post by Adamsm And again, going by the comments from Hyjal NPC's, there is another year or two for the actual expansion, as they say it's been 10 years since the Battle for Mt Hyjal. Read my post up there. Vanilla was out for about 26 months two years and and two months BC was out for about 21 months a year and 9 months Wrath was out for about 25 months two years and about 3 weeks.

So all in all, 4 months isn't a huge difference. I was under the impression that it was much shorter Of course, I started playing in patch 2. Post by Adamsm Lore wise, no matter how much time passed in the real world, we've only seen one year per expansion, till now; check the official timeline, which puts Shaman and the Shattering at year 27 since the First War.

Back at square one. Post by Adamsm Not completely square one; the Lich King is 'dead' in Shaman after all, and it's meant to take place between the Nightmare War which also says it's 6 months after the fall of the King and the Shattering I think. It makes the dungeon - usually - more meaningful to do once you actually find a group. Again, you are not looking at the broader picture and the many more less obvious effects systems or lack of systems have.

It is nearly always the case there are pros and cons of game design. You may prefer the retail style of click and in you go, but you are in fact posting on the Classic forums. Removing features would make it not wotlk. LFG is good and bad at the same time. In MoP i went awol once or twice. So from my past experiences it seems I kinda liked the game enough to stay until MoP came out, and since then not a single expansion has been able to keep me.

No idea if it will be the same a 2nd time though. Classic destroyed the classic method of finding groups. Auto assembled battleground raids was a classic feature. Difference from a dungeon finder is that pvp has long term rewards whereas dungeons are short term.

LFG is fine, you might not like it… but you can have things that can be bad and good at the same time. The odd person would have LF a tank for ages and then given up….

Personally I think it makes no sense to go further than Wrath. New posts. Search forums. Forums Gaming World of Warcraft. JavaScript is disabled. For instance, Cata brought us the worgen and the goblin races. MOP gave us Panda and I don't remember if there was another race. In MOP, did they remove any of the old races? Were dungeons removed? Likon69 Supporter Supporter.
